In 2008, Deniece M. Bourne co-founded Palate Selections (Barbados) Limited, a boutique importer and distributor of fine wine in Barbados. For almost ten years, Palate Selections was Barbados’ exclusive representative for flagship brands including Marchesi Antinori, Louis Latour, Simmonet-Febvre, Yalumba, Quinta do Noval, Champagne Duval-Leroy, and Nyetimber English Sparkling. As Managing Director, Deniece worked tirelessly to not only provide quality wines to her clients, but to also share the knowledge that enhanced their customers’ experiences.  

Having worked with a great broker over this tenure, Deniece developed a desire to establish a Wine & Spirits Brokerage to similarly help the Caribbean Wine & Spirits Industry access myriad types and styles of wines and spirits available on the global market. After working with the WSET for almost four years, where she honed her business development expertise and expanded her international wine and spirits networks, officially founding Savoir Global LLC in January 2022.

As a WSET Certified Wine and Spirits Educator, and a candidate for the WSET Diploma in Wines, Deniece is now well-positioned, through Savoir Global LLC, to continue sharing the products and knowledge that will elevate the wine and spirits experience across the Caribbean.
